fresh.jpgSome bagged salad blends being sold in Virginia and several other states are being voluntarily recalled by Taylor Farms Retail Inc. due to potential salmonella contamination.

According to a press release from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company is voluntarily issuing a precautionary recall of 3,265 cases of various salad blends.

The salad blends are under the Fresh Selections, HEB, Marketside and Taylor Farms brands with a "best by" date range of Oct. 18-21.   For a detailed list, visit this FDA Web page.

THANK YOU for posting this! I bought some of this stuff (with the expiration dates listed) at Wal-Mart on Tuesday. I haven't opened the bag. I wouldn't have known about the recall without your post. Thanks again.
